Embrace

Special needs ministry for all.

EMBRACE is Holy Covenant UMC’s Special Needs Ministry!

We seek to provide meaningful experiences for families of individuals with special needs to learn about God and His great love for them.

Founded in 2015, Embrace Ministries was born out of a deep desire to create an inclusive and welcoming church community for everyone. With love and dedication, we celebrate our special needs participants as VIPs—Very Important People. Our mission is to walk alongside these families, providing support that nurtures their spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being. Through meaningful connections and compassionate care, we strive to ensure that every individual feels valued, included, and embraced.

Sunday Mornings  - 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Fellowship Building - Room F-107

Our Embrace Ministry provides an interactive worship experience for participants during the 11 AM worship hour. All VIPs will be supported by our trained Partners in Ministry to help them actively participate in worship activities. Parents and caregivers of VIPs may attend the worship service in the sanctuary or stay and worship with us in Embrace.

Wheelchair Soccer League

Our Embrace Soccer program is an indoor soccer league designed for players ages 5 and up who use manual wheelchairs. The league takes place in the spring and features 3-on-3 gameplay without a goalie.

“You’ve Got a Friend in Me” Embrace Summer Camp is a day camp designed for individuals with special needs, from those who have completed Kindergarten through adulthood.

Camp activities include stories, music, science, crafts, and games, all designed for engagement and fun. Each camper is paired with a peer partner who assists them in actively participating in activities—and, most importantly, in building friendships!

To ensure a safe and supportive environment, onsite nurses and patient care assistants are available throughout the camp.

Our ministry is growing and we are eager to share this exciting time with you.
Come grow with us!
