Our Children's Ministry is designed to create a safe, welcoming, and joyful environment where children from birth through fifth grade can grow in their faith, build lasting friendships, and experience the love of Christ.

Our ministry is supported by a passionate team of teachers and dedicated partners who work closely with families to provide age-appropriate lessons, activities, and experiences that inspire spiritual growth and character development.

Throughout the year, we host a variety of events to build community and deepen children’s spiritual journey:
Vacation Bible School (VBS): A summer adventure filled with Bible lessons, games, crafts, and songs.
Seasonal Celebrations: Family-friendly events for Easter, Christmas, and other holidays that bring joy and meaning to the season.
Service Projects: Opportunities for children to serve others and learn the importance of kindness and generosity.

The safety and well-being of your children are our top priority. All staff and volunteers are background-checked and trained to ensure a secure environment. We follow strict safety protocols and maintain a low child-to-teacher ratio to give each child the attention they deserve.

HCKaty Kids Summer Events

Summer is here, and we are excited to offer a fun lineup of activities just for kids entering Kindergarten through completed 5th grade! From playground play dates and art nights to bowling, skating, pool parties, and movie nights, these events are designed to help kids stay connected, build friendships, and make great summer memories together. Each event is a chance for kids to have fun, try something new, and enjoy community in a safe and welcoming environment. We cannot wait to spend the summer with you!

HCKaty Kids Summer Camp

Session One: June 22 - 25 • 9 AM - 1 PM
Session Two: July 13 - 16 • 9 AM - 1 PM

Join us for a fun-filled week at HC Katy Kids Summer Camp, sponsored by Holy Covenant CDC! Open to children ages 4 through completed third graders — as well as current CDC students who are 3 years old as of July 31, 2026. This camp is the perfect way to enjoy summer with fun and friends. Activities include: arts & crafts, music & movement, outdoor play, and fun & games. Cost for each session is $160.

Playground Play Days

Looking for a fun way to spend a summer morning? Join us for Playground Play Days! Kids entering Kindergarten through completed 5th grade are invited to come enjoy the playground, connect with friends, and make new ones along the way. This free, casual playtime is the perfect chance to burn some energy, laugh a lot, and enjoy summer together in a safe and welcoming environment. Parents are welcome to stay and visit while the kids play!

Art Night with Mrs. Sarah

Get creative this summer at Art Night with Mrs. Sarah! Kids entering Kindergarten through completed 5th grade are invited to spend an evening painting and creating with Mrs. Sarah Willis. This fun, hands-on art experience is a great opportunity for kids to express their creativity, make friends, and bring home their own masterpiece. No art experience needed — just come ready to have fun! Snacks will be provides

Bowling at Main Event

July 9 • 11 AM - 1 PM
Cost: $10

Strike up some summer fun with us at Main Event! Kids entering Kindergarten through completed 5th grade are invited to enjoy an afternoon of bowling, laughter, and time with friends. Whether they are aiming for a strike or just having fun rolling the ball down the lane, this is sure to be a great time for everyone. Lunch is provided, and the cost is $10 per child.

Roller Skating at Mason Rd. Skate Park

July 21 • 1 - 3 PM
Cost: $10

Roll into summer fun with us at Mason Road Skate Center! Kids entering Kindergarten through completed 5th grade are invited to enjoy an afternoon of roller skating, music, games, and fun with friends. Whether they are experienced skaters or trying it for the first time, this is a great chance to laugh, move, and make summer memories together. The $10 cost includes admission, skate rental, and snacks.

Pool Party

July 26 • 3 - 4:30 PM
Hosted by the Wiens

Make a splash with us at our Summer Pool Party hosted by the Wiens! Kids entering Kindergarten through completed 5th grade are invited to cool off, swim, and enjoy an afternoon of summer fun with friends. Snacks will be provided. Just bring a towel and get ready for a great time in the sun!

End of Summer Movie Night

July 31 • 5 - 8:30 PM
Hosted by the Meadows

Wrap up summer with a fun night of movies, food, and friends at our End of Summer Movie Night hosted by the Meadows family! Kids entering Kindergarten through completed 5th grade are invited to relax, enjoy a movie together, and celebrate an awesome summer of fun and friendship. Dinner and snacks will be provided, so just come ready for a cozy and memorable evening!

Children’s Worship during the 11 AM Service.

Here’s what to expect if your children or grandchildren will be attending:

Children’s Worship will be held every Sunday, except on Communion Sundays (the first Sunday of the month) and special holidays.

Everyone will begin worship together in the Sanctuary. After the Scripture reading, children will be invited to exit through the CENTER doors and head to the Chapel across the hall.

Sending your child to Children’s Worship is completely optional. We love having children in the Sanctuary, so it’s entirely up to you and your child.

Children’s Worship is for kindergarten through fourth grade. Younger children are welcome to join Wiggle Worship or the nursery in the Education Building.

Children will return to the Sanctuary between the Affirmation of Faith and the closing song.

Please send coins with your children for their offering—any amount is welcome!
