Members in Ministry Needed! - There are two ministries that we need YOU to be a part of!
1) Hero Central Vacation Bible School, June 5-9th from 5:30-8:00pm.
Guides are needed to lead crews around to the various stations throughout the evening. And-supper is provided for volunteers, so no need to worry about grabbing something to eat if you're coming from work. Contact
2) The Music Factory, July 24-28th, 8:45am-3:00pm. Youth and adults are needed to be with the campers in the morning as they learn the songs, and be with the teachers in the afternoons while the campers are participating in their electives. Email if you would like to join in the fun!

Summer Bible Study - Alan & Nita McCoy will be hosting a summer bible study on Wednesday evenings during the month of June at 7:00pm in their home. The book they will be covering is The Power of a Story by James W. Moore. A brief
description is the stories in the book highlight valuable lessons about faith, hope and love. It shows how stories have the power to move us to a deeper love for God and for other people. If you would like to attend, please email

Baby Bottle Blessing - If you forgot to grab a bottle last week to help the Pregnancy Help Center, no worries-there are still some available. Just stop by the information table in the narthex and pick one up, fill it with change, bills or a check and return it on Father's Day, June 18th.

Members In Ministry - Save the date - July 27th. This is the Saturday we will complete the work on the home mission project that we started here in Katy. We will finish painting the soffit and fascia. If you would like to help, please email John Fluharty at

The Music Factory (formerly Summer Music Camp) - Save the dates July 24-28th and join us at the HCKaty Music Factory this summer where new friendships are built as we practice and perform together the musical entitled "Here For the GoId" based on the parables of Jesus. The website to register is being revamped and will be up and running within the week, so watch for more information on that. Children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade are able to attend. Adult and youth leaders are also needed during that week. Contact Steve Hale at if you would like to join the fun!

Celebration for Pastor Paul - We are going to celebrate Pastor Paul's time of ministry with Holy Covenant with a dinner provided by your staff Parish Relations Committee followed by a "Roast". The event will occur on Wednesday, May 31st in Covenant-Hall beginning at 6:00pm and concluding by 8:00pm. Farewell Reception Honoring Rev. District Camp - Registration is open for District Camp at Lakeview. Holy Covenant date is June 11-16th, Camp Session 1. Vacation Bible School 2017 - Hey kids - it's time to sign up for Vacation Bible School! The theme this year is Hero Central - Discover Your Strength in God! The dates are June 5-9th from 5:30-8:00pm. Cost is $10.00 per child ($20.00 after May 15th). There's loads of fun to be had, sign up today!

Counters Needed - The Finance Team is looking for volunteers that could count the weekly offering at 9:00am on Monday mornings in the church office. Wrapped in Love - We have several crocheted prayer shawls, baby and fleece blankets that are ready for delivery in gift bags in the workroom cabinet. If you have a family member, friend, neighbor or co-worker who would appreciate one, feel free to take one for them. We ask only that you sign our sign out sheet so we can keep our inventory current and know who the recipients are to ensure there are no duplications.

Adult Mission Trip - July 2nd thru 7th, 2017 to UMCOR's Sager Brown Depot in Baldwin, LA, assembling relief supply kits in the warehouse. Worship Opportunity - Have you ever considered leading Children's time in worship? This is an opportunity to share truths from God's word. You get to hang out with people who laugh and play. Searching for Smiling Faces! - The church office and CDC are looking for friendly faces that can volunteer a few hours once a week or every other week to greet CDC visitors and late arrivals, help answer phones and assist church office, CDC, children's ministries and Youth ministries in preparation of materials as needed. Volunteer Opportunities - Invest your time by volunteering with Pregnancy Help Center of West Houston educating and supporting men and women in making healthy choices for life in sexual integrity, unplanned pregnancy and post-abortion loss. Worsted Yarn Needed! - The Wrapped in Love ladies are asking for your help. They are looking for donations of worsted yarn. It takes about 12oz for a prayer shawl and 16oz for a baby blanket. They would appreciate your support as they begin a new season of knitting and crocheting beginning next Wednesday January 20th as part of the Wednesday Night Encounter Classes. Is God Calling You to Mentor a Young Person on the Edge? - Houston: reVision leverages the power of community by connecting kids on the edge with mentors, positive peers and life-changing resources. What: Mentoring youth who need an adult who cares about them and will simply listen When: Once a week for one hour a week during the school year. Covenant Quilters - The Covenant Quilters are meeting again after a holiday break. Please join us to quilt, sew, visit and learn some new things.
