Palm Sunday Picnic and Egg Hunt

Palm Sunday Picnic and Egg Hunt

On Palm Sunday we celebrate and remember the day Jesus came to the city of Jerusalem and was met by a crowd of people celebrating him. They waved palms and welcomed Jesus. However, later that week they would beat and crucify him. Palm Sunday begins the holiest week of the Christian year that takes us to Easter when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

Invite your neighbors and bring the family next Sunday, April 9 to our annual Palm Sunday picnic and egg hunt. Lunch will provided by the Methodist Men, consisting of hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drink; you are invited to bring a dessert to share. Cost for lunch is $5 for adults, $3.00 for children 11 and under, with a max of $16 per family of 4 or more (proceeds to the UMM Scholarship Fund for graduating high school seniors). Children participating in the egg hunt are asked to bring 12 filled plastic eggs.
